SAIGON KICK/Ex-SKID ROW Drummer PHIL VARONE Makes Cover Of PLAYGIRL Magazine

November 5, 2010

Former SKID ROW drummer Phil Varone, who recently reunited with his first band, SAIGON KICK, is featured on the cover of the winter 2010 issue of Playgirl magazine. The publication, which includes a 20-page spread on Varone, is due to hit newsstands on December 15.

Varone, who was one of eight patients featured on the "Celebrity Rehab" spin-off series "Sex Rehab With Dr. Drew", told the Gossip Ain't Sweet web site about the Playgirl photo session, "The photographer was just fantastic. We had a two-day interactive shoot in New York."

Varone, 42, recently proposed to his girlfriend Achsha Tatiana EeLise Lamb and plans to get married in 2011.

"We're in an open relationship and enjoy a lifestyle where we have sex with other people," the drummer told RadarOnline.com before adding that "sex with other people makes the relationship stronger."

"The respect, trust and love for one another is nothing like I've ever imagined or experienced and for that I'm very grateful," he said.

Varone is an accomplished drummer, music producer and songwriter best known for his work with the bands SAIGON KICK and SKID ROW. In 2004, Phil left SKID ROW and the music business to pursue acting and stand-up comedy. After moving to Los Angeles, he spent the first two years producing the feature-length documentary "Waking Up Dead". Phil also lectures in colleges throughout the United States and is the creator and host of the "Sex Stand Up and Rock and Roll Show".
